Lawyer (of Counsel)
Dittmar Hagedorn (*1950) studied law and philosophy in Munich, Freiburg and Lausanne. After a traineeship with the European Commission in Brussels he obtained a doctorate in law in Berlin and subsequently worked as a lawyer for a London City law firm. Between 1980 and 2004 he was employed by Hypovereinsbank Group and its predecessor, Bayerische Vereinsbank. From 1985 to 1989 he represented the bank in Paris. Then, based in Munich, he built up the bank’s international real estate financing business, focussing on the USA, France and the UK. From 1994 to 2004 he was a member of the board of management, initially of the Nürnberger Hypothekenbank and then the Württemberger Hypothekenbank, responsible for lending and sales (German and international markets) as well as accounting and legal matters.
